Privacyverklaring
BikeyBot is een klein, onafhankelijk project. We houden je gegevens bewust minimaal en verkopen ze nooit. Hieronder staat kort wat we bewaren, waarom, en welke rechten je hebt.
Wie is verantwoordelijk?
BikeyBot wordt gebouwd door Sem Aslier (Nederland). Vragen of verzoeken over je gegevens? Mail bikey@aslier.eu — dat is het snelste kanaal en je krijgt persoonlijk antwoord.
Welke gegevens we verzamelen
- Je e-mailadres — als je een account hebt of je op de wachtlijst zet.
- Voorkeuren die je zelf opgeeft — bijvoorbeeld het soort fiets dat je zoekt, of wat je de dienst waard vindt.
- Je favorieten — de fietsen die je bewaart als je bent ingelogd.
- Wat je ons stuurt — feedback of een shop-suggestie via de knoppen in de app.
- Technische logs — je browser stuurt automatisch o.a. een IP-adres mee; dat gebruiken we alleen om de site veilig en werkend te houden.
De fietsgegevens die je in BikeyBot ziet, komen uit openbare winkelcatalogi — dat is productinformatie, geen persoonsgegevens.
Waarom we ze gebruiken
- Om je te laten inloggen en je favorieten te bewaren — nodig voor de dienst die je zelf vraagt (art. 6 lid 1 sub b AVG).
- Om je te mailen zodra BikeyBot opengaat (wachtlijst) — op basis van jouw toestemming, die je altijd kunt intrekken.
- De alert-mails zelf (zodra die er zijn) zíjn de dienst, geen reclame. Een aparte nieuwsbrief of aanbieding sturen we alleen als je daar los toestemming voor geeft.
- Om de site veilig en stabiel te houden (logs) — ons gerechtvaardigd belang.
Cookies
We gebruiken geen trackingcookies en geen analyse- of advertentiecookies van derden. De enige cookie is een technische inlog-cookie die onthoudt dat je bent ingelogd — die is strikt noodzakelijk voor de dienst, dus daarvoor hoeven we geen toestemming te vragen. Daarom zie je op deze site geen cookiebanner.
Wie je gegevens ziet
- We verkopen je gegevens niet en delen ze niet voor advertenties.
- De site draait op servers binnen de EU (bij Hetzner in Finland).
- Gaan we e-mail versturen, dan doen we dat via een EU-provider met een verwerkersovereenkomst.
Verder krijgt niemand je gegevens, tenzij de wet ons daartoe verplicht.
Hoe lang we ze bewaren
- Wachtlijst: tot de lancering, of tot je je afmeldt.
- Account: zolang je account bestaat. Zeg je het op, dan verwijderen we je account en je favorieten.
Je rechten
Je mag je gegevens inzien, corrigeren, laten verwijderen, meenemen (dataportabiliteit) en er bezwaar tegen maken; en een gegeven toestemming kun je altijd intrekken. Eén mailtje naar bikey@aslier.eu is genoeg — op deze schaal regelen we dat handmatig en snel. Ben je het ergens niet mee eens, dan kun je klagen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (NL) of de Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (BE).

BikeyBot is a small, independent project. We keep the data we hold to a minimum and never sell it. Here is a short summary of what we store, why, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible?
BikeyBot is built by Sem Aslier (the Netherlands). Questions or requests about your data? Email bikey@aslier.eu — that is the fastest channel and you will get a personal reply.
What we collect
- Your email address — if you have an account or join the waitlist.
- Preferences you give us — e.g. the kind of bike you are after, or what the service would be worth to you.
- Your favourites — the bikes you save while signed in.
- What you send us — feedback or a shop suggestion via the buttons in the app.
- Technical logs — your browser automatically sends things like an IP address; we use these only to keep the site secure and working.
The bike data you see in BikeyBot comes from public shop catalogues — that is product information, not personal data.
Why we use it
- To let you sign in and keep your favourites — needed for the service you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To email you once BikeyBot opens (waitlist) — based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- The alert emails themselves (once they exist) are the service, not marketing. A separate newsletter or offer would only be sent with your separate consent.
- To keep the site secure and stable (logs) — our legitimate interest.
Cookies
We use no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookie is a technical login cookie that remembers you are signed in — it is strictly necessary for the service, so no consent is required. That is why you see no cookie banner on this site.
Who sees your data
- We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.
- The site runs on servers within the EU (Hetzner, Finland).
- When we start sending email, we will do so through an EU provider under a data-processing agreement.
No one else receives your data unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until launch, or until you unsubscribe.
- Account: for as long as your account exists. Close it and we delete your account and favourites.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete and export your data (data portability) and object to its use; and you can withdraw any consent at any time. One email to bikey@aslier.eu is enough — at this scale we handle it manually and quickly. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or the Belgian Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.
